Cost dimensions
Costs are not just for forward equipment inputs, but also for long-term operating costs.
The hardware NATSHEL_AUTH_GATEWAY, AC controllers, wireless APs, switches are the main inputs.
At this level, the net hardware input may vary from 100,000 to 400,000.
Some suppliers provide leasing models. Software is paid annually and hardware is phased out. This reduces the forward cost to tens of thousands, but the total long-term cost will be higher.
Deployment costs are easily ignored. All these have to be counted for walls, wiring, debugging. If a newly renovated apartment is built, the network cabling can be synchronized and low cost. If a retrofit project is made, the cost may exceed the hardware itself.
There are also test operating costs. The system is deactivated for several months, and the bugs are repaired and optimized.
Deployment dimensions
The way the system is deployed affects how well it works and how it works.
The system is located in an apartment room, and the network is responsive and not dependent on external networks.
But local deployment is not very widespread. If apartments are to be expanded and larger, the network may have to be re-engineered.
The total cost of cloud deployment is lower if the operator manages several long-lease apartments simultaneously.
The renters of long-lease apartments may be online for a long time and sensitive to delays. And if the outer web breaks, Portal pages are out, the tenants will think that the system is malfunctioning.
Mixed deployment is a compromise option. The core platform is at the cloud end, and local gateways are certified. This allows both remote management and speed of response.
Maintain dimensions
Maintenance costs are high in the long term.
Local deployment requires a self-delivering. The server has to load the system, patch and backup data. If the server fails, someone has to go to the machine room for processing.
The plant is responsible for server maintenance, security, and backup.
But cloud-side deployment is dependent. If the cloud vendor has problems servicing, the entire system is not available. And data on the cloud is a concern for operators with security concerns.
There are also costs of upgrades. Local deployments require downloading patches themselves, testing upgrades. Cloud-end deployments are usually automatically upgraded, but the timing of the upgrade may be beyond control.
The option for long-lease apartments depends on the mode of operation.
The system supports multiple terminal binding, bandwidth control, etc. These functions are optional in some programs and they are confirmed if they are included.
The network of long-lease apartments affects the tenants’ long experience and responds quickly.
The cost of deploying, maintaining, and maintaining the three dimensions is balanced.
There are no perfect programs, but only suitable ones.
