Multi-ISP Dialing & AAA

Three access modes to address different operating rights, account systems and operator interface conditions

The user can choose a dedicated line of access, dial-up access or AAA transmission on the current network conditions without having to mix three modes.

• Model selection

It depends on who manages the user, who provides the account number and where the authentication request ends up.

Three models can connect to multiple operators, but the rights of operation, authentication links and implementation conditions differ.

Mode 01

Multi-operator line access

Schools or campus operators are integrated in opening, certifying and charging fees, and the operator mainly provides lines and bandwidth.

User account
School account
Export selection
Gateways are on the policy track.
Fit
Emphasis on autonomous operation and unified management
Mode 02

PPOE dial-up access

The user login at a time, and the gateway maps the campus account number to the corresponding operator account and completes dialling.

User account
School account + Operator account
Export selection
BRAS by binding relationship
Fit
Operator package integration and cooperative operation
Mode 03

AAA Relay Access

The campus platform, as a RADIUS Proxy, forwards the request to its counterpart operator AAA and returns the certification results.

User account
Cell phone number, school number or operator account
Export selection
Campus Bras, select path by authentication results
Fit
Operator open AAA docking access

• Model I

Multi-operator line access

The user uses only campus accounts, without the need to enter operators’ broadband accounts.

  1. User accessTerminals submit campus accounts through Portal, 802.1X and IPOE.
  2. Uniform authenticationNATHHELL_AUTH_BILLING platform validation account numbers, suites, validity and bandwidth policy.
  3. Policy SelectionExport gateways select operators for export according to the user type, region, operation or route status.
  4. Unified operationsOpening, charging, re-entry and Internet access records are managed centrally on campus.

The most understandable thing about clients.

This model is a “school-based flat account, operators provide network exports” and does not require the establishment of a PPPOE proxy session for each user.

Multi-operator special access to the topping: three operator lines into campus gateway, Authentication & Billing platform for unified user management
Multi-operator lines have a single access to the top.
Conditions applicableThe campus has a unified operating right, and operators can provide dedicated wire or bandwidth resources
Main valueAccounts, packages and fee strategies are self-controlled and multi-line management is integrated
Implementation focusConfirm circuit interface, route strategy, export bandwidth and failure switch
PPOE One Generation Dialing Business Log: campus accounts tied to operator account, gateway converted and certified to operator Broadband City Network
PPOE One generation to the business logic

:: Model II

PPOE dial-up access

The user will convert the authentication to a operator PPoE account in accordance with the binding relationship and set up an Internet session for its counterpart, Bras.

  1. Account number tied.Students bind the school account to their own operator ' s account number and the platform records the operator to which it belongs.
  2. School accessTerminals complete school identification checks through Portal, 802.1X, IPoE or APP.
  3. Account conversionThe platform matches operator account numbers and lines, and provides the PPPOE request to the gateway organization.
  4. Operator certificationThe BRAS/ AAA authentication operator account is matched to create a session and release it online after success.

Difference to line mode

The dialling mode must have a valid operator account, PPPoE access line and BRAS/AAA connection; the custom line model does not normally require dialling to operators on a user-by-user basis.

Conditions applicableOperators provide students with a suite and account number, and multiple operators are allowed access to the campus
Main valueOne user login and campus access is completed on a continuous basis with operator certification
Implementation focusAccount number tied, suffix recognition, BRAS route, failure to retreat and combing capacity

· Mode III

AAA Relay Access

The AAA is a generic name for authentication, authorization, and billing. After the campus BRAS or NAS receives a user certification request, it sends the request to the campus NATSHEL_AUTH_BILLING platform; the platform identifies the operator of the user, forwards the certification results to the counterpart operator AAAA through RADIUS Proxy and returns them back to the campus network.

  1. Requesting access.User initiates authentication by Portal, PPoE, 802.1X or IPOE.
  2. Identification of belongingsThe platform determines the operator by cell phone number, school number tied relationship or account number.
  3. AAA ForwardRequests for authentication, authorization and billing are forwarded to the provincial AAA in telecommunications, connectivity or mobile.
  4. Implementation of the resultsThe campus BRAS completes release, route selection and meeting bookkeeping on the basis of return results.

Difference to the dialysis model

AAA forwards certified and billing reports, with inter-system RADIUS agents at the core; PPOE dialling is established by gateway using a mapd operator account number.

AA transmits Tung: The campus Bras sends user requests to Authentication & Billing platform, which is forwarded through Radius Proxy to three operators' provincial AAAA
Multi-Operator AAA/ RADIUS Proxy Forward Tung
Conditions applicableLocal and city operators have autonomous docking AAA privileges and provide interface parameters
Main valueShared campus in-networks, maintained a single entrance and connected to several provincial AAAs
Implementation focusRADIUS Properties, Shared Keys, Source Address, Timeout Retry and Billing

05 Construction conditions

The plan needs to be clearly identified by five types of conditions before it lands.

01

Lines and exports

Number of operators, type of line, interfaces, bandwidth, routers and mode of trouble switch.

02

Account number and suite

School accounts, operator accounts, cell phone numbers and switchback rules.

03

Bras and AAA

dialling permission, RADIUS access, authentication address and billing requirements.

04

Platform and gateway

Deployment location, session capacity, account map, strategy path selection and log range.

05

Connect and online.

Test account numbers, abnormal returns, time-consuming retries, window cutting and retreat programme.

What kind of model should we choose?

The availability of current network pegs, number of operators, account numbers and BRAS/AAA conditions will help us to determine the appropriate matching route for a dedicated line, dial-up or AAA transmission.
