The campus WiFi has more than students and teachers. Academic meetings, open days for admissions, parent visits, training programmes, all of which bring a group of visitors. Visitors certification is the most vulnerable to neglect and problems in the campus WiFi: complex accreditation processes, poor visitor experience; no time limit control, meeting closing accounts still available; no retroactive ability, no problem finding anyone."Quick, time-bound, retroactive."Three characteristics.
The capabilities of the NATSHELL_BRAD V7 Authentication & Billing system on visitor accreditation cover SMS authentication, temporary account numbers, visitor password authorization, certification page customization, and time-limited controls that allow a flexible mix of visitors management processes for campuses.
Three common ways to authenticate visitors
The first is SMS authentication. Visitors enter a cell phone number, send the system identification code, and verify that they can be accessed via Internet. SMS certification also meets real name requirements, and the cell phone numbers themselves are traceable and the basic choice of the visitors’ scenes is made.
The temporary account number can be tied to the use period, which automatically expires and is suitable for a batch of situations. The bulk import function can generate a single account number that will be used in conjunction with Excel's export and thus more efficient meeting reception.
The system supports the visitor password authorization method, a public authorized code that covers a group of visitors and is suitable for large-scale short-time visits such as open days.
Limitation control and limits of competence
The time limit control for visitor certification is key. V7 supports automatic shutdowns, lockdowns and suspensions of user consumption, and the temporary account number of visitors will expire automatically and cannot continue to be used."The account number is still in use after the event."The hole.
Visitors’ access is usually limited: visitors only visit the Internet and cannot access the campus Intranet resources. This requires that the system differentiates privileges by user group. V7 supports multi-level user groups, which are linked to different packages of food strategies, can send different RADIUS parameters to BRAS or AC, control access to visitors and insiders.
Authentication page and visitors experience
The page of the visitor certification has a direct impact on school image. V7 supports matching the different authentication pages with IP, SSID, gateway names, ACIP, mobile terminals and PC templates, which are configured separately, and can be custom-defined for pre-authentic advertising pages, post-accredited jump pages. Conference visitors viewing WiFi is a welcome page, and parents ' open days see an introduction page to campus, which is completely different.
The page customization is achieved by Portal’s high degree of custom-defined ability: Custom Page Support Source-level editing, Customized Advertising with a rich template, end-of-service adaptation, precision distribution, and flexible customization. Operators can change their pages without looking for development at any time. Visitors’ pages also provide activity information, attention, emergency contact details, and turn certified pages into service windows in schools.
The certificate log records the number, time, and location of access to the audit, which is retroactive. Visitors ' online logs are included in the web log, retention periods and query processes are confirmed by local regulatory and project requirements, the system has record-keeping capacity, with specific compliance calibres that are subject to project implementation.
Complemental design for visitors management
Visitors management, in order to form a closed loop, also requires accompanying operational designs: reception services to request the process of a visitor's account (who applies, who approves and who issues it); a mechanism for collecting visitors' accounts (which is uniformly disabled after the event has ended); a bandwidth policy for visitors online (visit bandwidth is limited to reasonable scope without affecting teaching office); and an unusual visitor handling (disable immediately if irregularities are detected). These processes are combined with functions of the NATSHEL_AUTH_BILLING system, which will allow visitors to be managed in their entirety.
The bandwidth and flow strategy for visitors is also designed separately. The campus has limited bandwidths, and if the visitor community does not limit it, a conference traffic can crowd out the bandwidth.
When a visitor is certified online, the administrator needs to be able to view visitors online in real time: how many visitors are currently online, what areas they are distributed and how much traffic they use. V7 supports online user queries and management, so managers can check on online visitors details and force down a number of accounts if necessary. These administrative actions will be completed at the backstage without being able to log into AC-to-desk operations.
The system provides records and matching capabilities, with specific retention strategies and query processes to be located in the project as required by regulatory requirements.
The design of the visitor and temporary user certification, which says it is a sort of reception process: who will send the account number, how long it is, where permissions are available, and how to check it. These links are set up in the Authentication & Billing system, so that visitors’ experience and security management on WiFi campus can be met simultaneously.
