Hotels are the most likely scene of misalignment in WiFi's network billing system. Many people listen to "Hotel Billing," and they assume that the system has been connected to the front-office PMS, which automatically sends out a code. Not so simple as it is, there is one line that must be clear: supporting standard certification protocols does not mean matching a set of PMSs, mixing them with accidents.
WiFi web billing systemWhat exactly does PMS do in a hotel?
Designed, the hotel billing system expects to connect with PMS: When a guest is checked in, PMS syncs the number of the house and the time spent on occupancy to the certification system, automatically generates temporary vouchers, certifies the guest with a password for WiFi, opens up long after entering, and exits from the system when the system is synchronized. Visitors take SMS certification or front desk registration authorization codes. This design reduces manual pre-office openings, which are also good experiences and closes the loops that the hotel programme would want.
This is not a " default landing" but it is a design capability. Both the NatShell knowledge base and role rules emphasize that PMS interfaces need to confirm whether interfaces are open and fields mapable. The PMSs have different entry fields and formats for room numbers, surname spelling, time-to-use entries, and no standard interface documentation. So, in the context of the hotel project, the correct caliber is "supportable for PMS connection, first confirming PMS interfaces with fields", rather than directly committing to automatic matching, let alone treating field availability as a fait accompli.
WiFi web billing systemWhy does support Radius not amount to docking PMS?
There is a high frequency error: to describe "support for Radius" as "support for PMS docking." Radius is a network certification agreement, and PMS is a front-office management system. The system can connect with the systems in Radius, LDAP, AD domain, micromail, text messages, and it does not naturally read a PMS database. To be truly connected, there must be an open interface for PMS, a field map, a connecting window, none of these three items will ever be found, and one line cannot be taken by "synchronization".
So the boundaries of WiFi's network billing system are to be written in the hotel scene: authentication, billing, log is a matter for the system itself; and PMS's room condition is synchronized to be "capable" and evaluated separately. Before confirming it, you prefer to go with SMS certification and front desk authorization codes, or write PMS connections into established facts in the program, otherwise the reception will not open interfaces to the front desk, which is the implementer.
WiFi web billing systemCompliance logs to retain boundaries
Hotels also have a hard-to-comply line: logs are kept online. According to the Cybersecurity Act and Order No. 82 of the Public Security Department, hotels are prohibited from using anonymous access, Internet logs are kept for no less than six months, and the number of accounts, MAC, IP, start time, and access sites are maintained. V7 NAMHEL_AUTH_BILLING has an authentication log feed interface that meets basic compliance; if full traffic 7 level behavioural audit is to be performed, personal connection retroactive, it will need to be supermixed with independent log systems.
The numbering of the two accounts is mixed into a user group, leaving easy access to the checkout and leaving a compliance mark. The programme provides a basic basis for separating the guest, visitor, employee and white list from the hotel list.
In summary, the hotel scene requires WiFi to define what the system can do and what it needs to do in conjunction with PMS, and then to nail the log compliance border. The vague promise of a match-up will be an accident and acceptance.
WiFi web billing systemWhat border is multi-hotel centralized?
The hotel also has a centralized boundary: when operators go to rooms, multi-hotels share OLT, they can deploy a large Authentication Gateway in the company ' s office, passing VLAN traffic from multiple hotels through a single certificate and log that is suitable for size of 10 to 50 small hotels and reduces the cost of single shops. But this also confirms that OLT ' s VLAN configuration and telefax rules are not by default enough to be overflowable.
The centralized model logs are separate classification stores for hotels, reporting accurate contact with their counterparts and providing for hierarchical supervision. Single hotels can also deploy light-quantified audit gateways to the link entrance only, which staff handle themselves. Both models presuppose that the " old hotel network is not recreated" and that if VLAN has no cross-talking, the centralized programme will not be lost, which should be written in the program boundary and cannot be considered default capacity commitments.
WiFi web billing systemHow do you write about the hotel billing program?
The first principle is to make a distinction between "systems can do" and "PMS can do it together." Certification, billing, log writing into system capabilities; PMS room synchronizing, field mapping, interface linking into "Certified matters" and indicating that text messages and front desk authorizations are not overstretched, receiving and inspection are passive, and responsibility for the problem is clear.
The second principle is compliance. The logs keep not less than six months, prohibit anonymous access, and house-stayers form groups, which are written in the text of the program instead of an appendix. Hotels are monitored online, looking at them as missing, not as expensive.
The third principle is that the boundary is dead. Multi-Hotels focus on managing whether or not to do so, VLAN throughputs, and the independent log system are collapsing, with no default of all the findings. The hotel billing program has been stomping on the line, looking at the three boundaries being unclear, one with a few more scratches behind it.
WiFi web billing systemWhat do you want to see on the hotel bill?
Hotel billings cannot be viewed as " accessible online." Check whether the residence number is genuinely connected with the entry, exit and stopover. This part of PMS requires a live check; check that the visitor ' s text message and front desk authorization are not working; check if the log retention cycle and delivery format are correct or not subject to Internet monitoring requirements.
The peak is also measured: multiple tenants verify and exit simultaneously, and whether system switches are timely or not. Hotels are mobile, which leaves little room for anonymous access to the Internet.
