The UwiFi system on campus, the System Designer's mobile number or Weiss?

The account system is the base bone of the campus wireless wifi.——Schoolwork, cell phone, or micro-openid?——The process of authentication, costing logic, docking and how the system is carried out. This question seems simple but often is repeatedly confused in actual projects because there are differences of opinion.

The Engineering Program: the most traditional but also the most difficult

The schoolworker's number is the account ID for the campus wireless WiFi system, which is the most logical.——The school code is the only sign within the school, naturally linked to the teaching system, a cartoon system, and a residential system. The certificate time is entered into the student code plus the time-to-work code for recording traffic and fees, and the time-to-work number for checking bills. But the study-to-work program has a real problem: password management. There are often problems with the school password system that usually has low password strength and widespread password leaks.——Someone else's schoolworker logs your account number and brushes your flow balance.

The SAT programme also has a problem with the interface: the campus wireless wifi system needs to be connected to the school ' s unified identification platform, which provides user information for the SSC. If schools do not have a single identity platform (many primary and secondary schools and some higher education institutions do not), the SAT system will need to maintain its own database of users. Who is responsible for the initial entry and daily updating of this database?——Here again, technical problems have become problems of coordination.

Mobile phone number programme: easy to certify but sensitive to privacy

Cell phone number is the account ID for the campus wireless WiFi billing system, and the authentication process is the easiest.——Users enter a cell number, system text code, and verify access to the Internet. No passwords, no pedagogic systems, mobile numbers are the only identity for everyone. But there are two issues that are not easy to solve: the real name certification compliance. The phone number is not a legal name tag, and the operator's actual registration information is not shared with the school."Authentication of real name + retention of log"The cell phone number is personal sensitive information, the billing system has to store a mobile phone number that needs encryption and the log number needs de-sensitivity. If the privacy protection mechanism of the billing system is not in place, the risk of a cell phone leak is greater than that of a school worker.

The other operational aspect of the mobile phone code program is text-message costs. Each certified text message has a cost, with thousands of texts sent at peak times (open season) simultaneously.——The solution is to install a MAC address in the billing system for an extra time (e.g., no re-certification within 24 hours of the same device) and reduce the number of SMS triggers.

Micro-Customsopenid Program: Experienced but High Threshold

Micromail authentication as account ID for the campus wireless WiFi system. User experience best——The two-dimensional code, authorization, and access to the Internet do not require any information. The authentication process is zero input, with minimal complaints. But the microcredit certification presupposes that the school has a certificate service number (not a subscription), which requires an annual fee of $300 for accreditation, and that it needs to open a micromail web-authorization interface. Openid is the only user identification for the micromail generation, but the openaid does not contain any real information in itself, and if a real name certification compliance is required, the cell phone or grado numbers need to be tied up for secondary validation. That is, the microletter authentication can be used as a second test."A simple authentication entrance"But not as a"Real name authentication entrance". The complete compliance program is micro-letter authentication plus cell number binding: when the first authentication is done, the micro-mail authorization plus mobile phone number validation is required for subsequent certification only to be micro-mail scanning and the system automatically connects the attached cell number through the openend.

Another problem with the micro-openid program is that if you have an open-name connection, you change a public-name."University Network Centre XX"Change it to"University of Wisdom Campus XX"This is a problem that is rarely discussed but has actually occurred in the actual project. Schools that select micro-credit programs do not have their Twitter service numbers replaced easily.

There's no one alternative.

The campus wireless wifi system can support multiple authentication methods and allow users to choose their own ones. A student with a school code is suitable for teaching staff and students with traditional access patterns, a mobile phone number is appropriate for users who do not want passwords, and a micro-letter is suitable for users seeking the fastest experience.

The key to the hybrid scheme is the account number binding logic. When first authenticating (in any way), the system creates a home account."This man already had an account number."And it's automatically associated. The number of the cell phone is the simplest connection logic.——The same cell phone number is the same account. The logic of the science manual connection is simple.——The same grad student number is the same account. The connection logic of the micro-mail openend is more complicated.——After the first micromail authentication, users are required to be guided to bind their cell phone numbers or gradians' numbers and then to identify the binding relationships through the openoid, automatically linking them to the main account number.

Long-term transportation costs for account systems

The design of the system does not look only at the online phase, but also at long-term costs. The Engineering Program needs to keep pace with the teaching system and handles a batch of account creation and initial password settings during the new year's school season. The Mobile Phone Program requires management of the stability and cost of SMS channels. The MicroCredit Program needs to maintain the validity and interface availability of service numbers. The Lowest Maintenance Cost depends on the level of informationization in schools: Schools with mature Unified Identification Platforms (UPI) have lowest transport costs for the Engineering Program; Schools without a UID platform have lower costs for mobile phone numbers or microCivation (no self-help user databases).

The system's not chosen."Which is the best?"But..."Which one is the best match to the information base that exists in school?"The choice of options is not always possible without the actual conditions in the school, and if it is not followed by the cable, the program is not going to be as good as it is.
