In actual projects, network billing software is not a stand-alone system; it has to work with switches, ACs, APs. But the problem of many old and even new projects is not that equipment is not working. The boundaries of duty were not clear from the beginning.. What capabilities should be given to network billing software and what capacities should remain on the switchboard, AC, AP, is key to determining the system ' s long-term stability.

Many integrators, at the program stage, consciously stack all control logics on network billing software, resulting in complex systems and confusion, which can be extremely expensive to check if a node is abnormal. In fact, a mature network structure never becomes.“Who's got the power to do it?”But each floor does what it does best.

I. THE CORE BASIC BASIC OF THE NETWORK CORPORATES: RULES, COSTS AND STRATEGY

The first responsibility for network billing software must beDevelopment and implementation of fee-splitting rules. Whether it is a cleaning charge, a monthly package, a long time count or a flow-based charge, these logics should be concentrated in network billing software rather than spread over the equipment side.

The reason is simple: the rules of the billing are often changed. Price adjustment, changes in the setup, and marketing strategies, if one adjustment depends on a switch or AC configuration, means multiple modifications with high risks.

So, network billing software only does three core things: first, the binding of user and billing identities; second, fee rules and strategic judgements; third, distribution to network equipment.“Allowed or prohibited”Outcome.

The network billing software is not responsible for data forwarding, wireless signals and port management. It's more like a...“Judges”Not“Sportsman”. If this is wrong, the cost of maintenance will rise sharply at a later stage.

II. Boundary of the switch: transmission and base control only

In the complete structure, the role of the switch is clear:Stable, reliable and unsensitive transmission of data. Neither the switch nor the convection switch should carry a complex costing logic.

In a wired setting, the switchboard is most likely to have a role in matching certification, such as redirecting user traffic to network billing software through VLAN, port state, 802.1X or Portal. But these decisions should not be made on the switch whether or not they are charged, how much they charge, and when they break up.

One of the most common accidents in the old project is to add too many tactics to the switchboard, which leads to radio anomalies and mis-allocations at ports that ultimately affect non-fee operations.

The mature approach is that the switcher will only be responsible for implementing results. The network billing software will judge users’ compliance, and the switchboard will be released or restricted only on instructions. This clear division of labour will ensure that old projects are not chained when they are installed in network billing software.

III. AC ' S BORDER: Wireless Access Control, not Fee-Based System

AC is in a very critical position in the wireless network, but its boundaries of responsibility also need to be controlled. There is only one thing that AC is best at:Manage AP and wireless access behaviour。

In support of external Portal, the right role for AC is to:“Transiter”. Once the user has access to a wireless network, AC transmits the authentication request to the web billing software, which completes the fee judgement and then the AC executes release or rejection.

AC should not assume the cost-accounting rules themselves. The reason is that its billing functions are often additional, with limited flexibility and expansion. Once the costing logic is complicated, the AC configuration quickly becomes unmaintainable.

In a large number of old projects, the imposition of AC-based charges eventually leads to one of two outcomes: either functionally limited or unsupported operations; or complex configurations, with minor changes affecting wireless stability.

NATSHEL_BRAND has consistently maintained in the project that AC is responsible only for wireless access to conference voice control, and network billing software is the only hub for costing and strategy. Such border demarcation ensures long-term expansion of the system.

IV. AP BORDER: SIGNATURE AND ACCESS, NOT PARTICIPATING IN ANY COST-LECT ROUNDS

AP is the most clearly defined device for the entire system.

No matter how complex the network billing software is, AP should not be aware of the metering logic. The AP does not store user information or judge whether users pay, and it only accepts control instructions from AC.

This is particularly important in old projects. A lot of older projects have a complex AP model, with different batches, which would be almost uncontrollable if they sink the logic of their billing to the AP layer.“Stupid equipment.”, which concentrates all complexity on network billing software and control layers.

V. THE TWO SMALL STRUCTURES OF BORDER CORRECTION PRACTICE

In the AC-backed external Portal architecture, boundaries are very clear: web billing software is responsible for charge pages, rule judgements and strategy generation; AC is responsible for user access, Portal redirection and session control; AP is responsible for wireless coverage; switchboards are responsible for data forwarding.

In the structure of AC that does not support external Portal, add NATSHEL_AUTH_GATEWAY to the same boundary: The network billing software is responsible for the logic of the billing; Authentication Gateway is responsible for authentication control and strategy implementation; the original AC AP remains in its original form; the switch continues to be retransmitted only.

The two structures have the following common elements:Network billing software is always in the centre of control, but not directly involved in data accessThat's the root cause of system stability.

VI. WHY BLACK-BORDER NETWORK CORPORATE SURVEY SOLD

From an operational point of view, the greatest benefit from clarity is that systems can continue to evolve without reversing a recurrence. The billing rules can be changed, the menus adjusted, and the strategy refined, but bottom networks hardly need to move.

NatShell has built up 21 years of project accumulation based on this border line approach, which is the software for complexity and equipment stability, each with its own job. This structure not only reduces deployment risks but also makes integrated agents more comfortable in following up, upgrading, and copying projects.

When the interface between network billing software, switchboards, AC, AP is clear enough, the project will no longer depend on one.“You're a good guy.”To maintain, but to develop a system that can operate over time. Such a system is the foundation of a network that truly supports a scaled charge and sustained profitability.
