Currently, in the field of WIFI operations at universities, telecommunications operators face major problems:
Prevention of proxy problems: The widespread use of proxy connections by users, resulting in management difficulties and cost-lossing network agents, has been the most difficult issue for operators to address, directly causing loss and cost losses of bandwidth. How to effectively control agency usage has become a new subject for broadband network operations.
Multi-operational integration and harmonization development: Each telecommunications operator has its own niches and disadvantages, and how to integrate its own niche projects to drive the development of other relatively disadvantaged operations is also a priority for individual operators.

PPOE dialling mode

PPOE is a network of campus operators that provide bandwidth and account access to the school entrance, which provides Internet accounts for students, and users of dial-up gateways such as 802.1x, IpoE, Portal, PPPoE, etc., which automatically converts them into operator codes.

PPOE dialling can be carried out in several ways:

(1) School Self-Building Model

For existing campus networks, or all of them built by operators or on campuses themselves, the three main operators need access, and the campus allows access to three major operators, who are selected by proxy at their own school dialling gateways.
It applies to schools that wish to have autonomy, managerial authority and uniform account management requirements.
 
Model advantages:
Ø The three main operators can be introduced, all students on campus are free to choose any one operator, the three operators share in the income of the campus operator depending on the opening and the campus operator can achieve a very high rate of opening.
Ø Schools need only deploy a dial-up gateway plus AAA certification.
Ø School-based changes to the campus network are not required and will be implemented through the deployment of dial gateways——The AAANA NATHHELL_AUTH_BILLING platform certification will complete the PPPOE dialling and intelligent selection.
Ø The school does not need to be co-developed with the operator.
 
 

(2) Operator investment model

Reconsort to the original Authentication & Billing system
The original core equipment for the campus network does not support a post-account-based selection, and requires online authentication and route selection of target student users through additional dialling gateways and NATSHEL_AUTH_BILLING platforms.
When new operators enter, they will need to maintain in-school access to NATSHEL_AUTH_BILLING platforms and data remain intact, with the addition of a new dial-up gateway and an AUTSH_BILLING platform.
Users who need access to the Internet are directed to a new dial-up gateway, which will be certified by the campus after they have access certification and sent their authentication requests to the NATSHEL_AUTH_BILLING platform, the NATSHEL_AUTH_BILLING platform, which selects users by identifying their suffix names and returns the selection results to the dial-up gateway, where different accounts are secured by dial-up gateways and authenticated access to various operators.
 
Model advantages:
No change is required to the campus network. The original network and authentication can be used for access systems.
